Dakar 2024: Christine GZ in her first Dakar participation
Christine Giampaoli Zonca, the Italian-Spanish driver known as Christine GZ, has succeeded in the long-awaited and desired feat. In fact, she will be at the start of the longest Off Road competition in the world: the Dakar 2024.
The 2024 Dakar will take place, as per tradition in recent years, in Saudi Arabia. Through uncontaminated and absolutely demanding scenarios for crews and cars, Christine GZ will travel over 5000 km aboard a Side By Side T3 prototype.
The Italian-Spanish driver, after her three-year experience in the United States as an official CanAm driver racing in the Score International championships (including the famous Baja 1000 3 times) and Best in The Desert, a recent past in ExtremeE, returns to team up with the Argentinian Legend Dakar co-driver Ricardo Torlaschi. Torlaschi, with 13 Dakars behind him, already ran the 2019 Baja 1000 with Christine GZ, as well as the Sonora Rally, winning some special stages together.
Appointment on January 5th from the city of AlUla for the start of the Dakar 2024 with Christine GZ and Riki Torlaschi at the start. Follow them on their instagram profiles: @chrtinegz and @ricardotorlaschi.
